Protecting sensitive data is a critical part of the deal process. Firmex Redact lets you easily hide, contain, and protect PII and other sensitive information without leaving your virtual data room, to minimize organizational risk and ensure compliance with rules and regulations such as GDPR, PIPEDA, PIPA, and HIPAA.
Now, we are making document redaction even easier with Redact All, so you can search and redact all instances of a word or phrase with a single click.
What’s improved?
This month, we’re making it easier and faster to protect sensitive data with Redact All. Now, when you search for a term or phrase, you will have 2 new redaction options:
- Redact All – all instances of the searched term or phrase will be redacted with a single click. Useful when you’re confident that all instances of a term or phrase needs to be kept confidential.
- Redact – all active search results will be highlighted, and the active result is redacted. You can continue to redact each result one by one as you determine on a context-specific basis that the term needs to be redacted.
You will still have the option to manually add redactions by clicking and dragging to select an area of the document you want to redact.
What’s staying the same?
- Easy version control. Firmex saves redacted documents as new versions, so Content Contributors can easily revert back to a previous iteration if needed, while other users without permission to modify data room contents will only see the most recent published version.
- Redact – or unredact. Quickly and easily remove individual redactions, or remove all redactions with a single click, as you progress through your deal.
When will this be available?
Redact All is available starting January 9, 2024.
